The East Gloucester patch covers the areas of Churchdown, Brockworth and Innsworth. Although the area lies close to the East of Gloucester City most of the patch falls within Tewkesbury Borough. The practice population is just under 30,000.
There are 3 GP surgeries serving the East Gloucester area: Hucclecote, Churchdown and Abbotswood.
To help the PCT better understand the priorities of the health community and to respond to their health needs, the East Gloucester Patch Team has been formed, involving front-line health and social services staff and local people in local decision-making about local health services.
