The South East Gloucester patch is a mainly residential area to the south of the City, including the areas of Barnwood, Matson and Abbeymead. It has a practice population of 25,200.

The area is served by GP surgeries at Glevum and St. Michaels, Abbeydale, Trinity and Saintbridge.

To help the PCT better understand the priorities of the local community and to respond to their health needs, the South East Gloucester Patch Team has been formed, involving front-line health and social services staff and local people in local decision-making about local health services.
